Music Ministry Our accompanists, choir, and music director lead congregational hymn-singing in the morning worship service and present choral compositions that display the God-given creative art of the lyricist, music composer and arranger that would not otherwise be heard - music of praise, testimony, gospel message, and scripture. All music in worship is intended to glorify God. All voices are needed in the choir. The requirements to participate are to be a follower of Christ and ability to learn the part; no audition is required. Choir rehearsal is from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sundays except for a summer break in July and August.

Good News Club The Good News Club is an after-school outreach ministry to Pine Tree Elementary in the Kent School District, meeting with the children on Tuesday afternoons for one hour. We rent the facility from the school district to avoid any potential church - state conflict. Since no transportation is provided by the school, we are limited to participation with students whose parents can pick up their children at the conclusion of the Club time or who can walk home. Typically we have between 10 - 15 students attending each week. A regular hour-long meeting includes a snack for each student (after a long school day), a Missionary Story to introduce the concept of missions to the children, a Bible memory verse, a game (to use a little energy which each child seems to bring along each week) and (most important) a 20-minute Bible story, told by an adult using graphic material from the curriculum. Over a six-year period this curriculum covers much of the Old and New Testament. Child Evangelism Fellowship of King County produce the Bible curriculum as well as Missionary stories, and provide the administrative functions of insurance and security background checks for every person involved in this ministry.
